Mecca Hotel Alexandria — one of the worst experiences you could have

Mecca Hotel Alexandria is one of the worst hotels in Alexandria — lacking in everything and not worth the money for what little service it offers.

Mecca Hotel Alexandria is one of the worst hotels in Alexandria — lacking in everything and not worth the money for what little service it offers.

Mecca Hotel Alexandria is considered one of the worst hotels in Alexandria. It's a 3-star property that has been rated 2/10 by people who've actually stayed there — a clear "bad" rating.

– The rooms are very small and not clean. Don't be fooled by the photos because reality is very different. There are insects in both the room and the bathroom, and don't ask for hot water for a shower because there is none.

– Chairs are placed in front of the hotel for guests, but don't be surprised if strangers turn up and sit down right next to you.

– If you feel hot in your room, don't be surprised — the air conditioner doesn't work.

– Many guests complained about the high price relative to the poor services — there's nothing here worth the price.

– The balconies are very close together, so you'll feel there's no privacy at all. The people sitting on the next-door balcony are effectively sitting with you.

– If you have a car, you'll have to park it in the street — there's no dedicated car park for hotel guests.

Visit Guide does not recommend this hotel because of the poor services, lack of privacy, dirty rooms and bathrooms, and the high prices in exchange for substandard service.
