How do I book a hotel on Visit Guide?

Pick a hotel, set your dates and guests, choose a room, and tap Book. Your request goes straight to the property and is usually confirmed within minutes — you'll see the confirmation in 'My bookings' and get an email.

Do I need an account to book?

You can browse without one, but a free account is required at checkout. That's how we store your confirmations, save your favourite stays, and let you change or cancel a booking later.

Can I book on behalf of someone else?

Yes — enter the lead guest's name during checkout. We send the confirmation to your email, and the property treats your guest as the named occupant on arrival.

How far in advance can I book?

Most properties accept reservations up to 12 months in advance. A handful of flagship hotels open further out, and last-minute same-day bookings are usually fine too — subject to availability.

Can I modify my dates after booking?

Accepted Answer

Open 'My bookings', pick the reservation, and hit Modify. Date changes are honoured under the property's cancellation policy — if your rate is fully flexible, changes are free up to the cut-off.

Will I get an instant confirmation?

Hotels marked 'Instant book' confirm in seconds. Other properties may take up to a few hours during business days as the front desk reviews availability — you'll see live status in 'My bookings'.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Paymob (Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia). Bank transfer is available for stays over $5,000.

When is my card charged?

On most rooms, your card is only authorised at booking and charged at the property on check-in. Pre-pay rates and non-refundable bookings are charged in full at booking — the room detail page tells you which applies.

Are taxes and fees included in the price?

Yes. The total on the booking summary is the price you pay — all city taxes, VAT, service charges, and Visit Guide fees are already baked in. No surprises at check-in.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms are set by each property and shown clearly on every room. Most rooms offer free cancellation up to 24–48 hours before check-in; non-refundable rates are marked in red so you never tap one by accident.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and usually land within 5–10 business days. For pre-paid bookings cancelled inside the free-cancellation window, the refund is automatic.

I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

Tap 'Forgot password?' on the login page and enter your email. We'll send a reset link that's valid for 30 minutes. If you don't see the email, check spam — it's almost always there.

Open the profile menu in the top-right of the navbar, choose Account, and edit your details. Email changes require you to confirm the new address before they take effect.

Write to hello@visit.guide from the email tied to the account. We permanently delete personal data within 30 days, in line with GDPR. Past booking records are kept for tax purposes for the legally required period and then erased.

We recommend a single account so your bookings and wishlist stay in one place. If you need a separate account for business travel, that's fine — just use a different email.

Who can list a property on Visit Guide?

Anyone with a verified ID and the legal right to host the property — owners, long-term tenants with landlord permission, or licensed property managers. Listings outside that won't pass review.

How long does listing approval take?

Most listings are reviewed within 48 hours. We come back with one of three outcomes: approved, approved with edits, or declined with reasons — never a silent rejection.

What does it cost to list a property?

Listing is free. We take a small service fee from each confirmed booking — typically 12% — and it's deducted automatically from your payout. No monthly fees, no listing fees, no surprises.

Yes — once you're a verified host, you can add as many properties as you like from your host dashboard. Each listing is reviewed independently.

We auto-detect your region and display in a major local currency. You can override it from the footer. The amount charged matches the displayed total; we don't add hidden FX margins.

Visa requirements are between you and the destination's consulate — we can't issue advice that's legally binding. The concierge team is happy to point you to authoritative sources for your nationality and route.
