There are numerous historic sites all around the area. The hotel is only 5 minutes' drive to the scene of the famed Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular towering mountains. The monument to the Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Kidnapped, is situated on the hillside behind the hotel. The Devil's Staircase is a 20-minute drive and Glencoe town centre is just 5 minutes by car.
