Location
This hotel is set on Barra Beach, which is easily accessible from Inhambane. Inhambane is one of the oldest settlements in the country, established in 1560 by the Portuguese, and is a most interesting town. Tree-lined avenues, a colourful market, port and colonial architecture make for a pretty town with a Mediterranean feel. Guests can also take in the old Governor's house on the waterfront, the fascinating railway station and the mercado, which sells a colourful array of spices, prawns, fishes, vegetables and cashew nuts. Guests can also take a trip across the harbour to Maxixe.
