Beneath the area where the hotel is located lie the remains of the Tudor Palace of Placentia, where Henry VIII was born and Elizabeth I sent Sir Walter Raleigh and the English Navy against the Spanish Armada. Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, the West End of London and Theatreland are only 20 minutes away should guests wish to go further afield. London Heathrow Airport is approximately 55 km and London Gatwick Airport some 60 km away from the establishment.
