This ski hotel is set in a mountain village, which lies in the heart of the Serra da Estrela, harmoniously nestled within the urban setting of Penhas da Saúde. At an altitude of 1500 m, the village consists of the hotel and the mountain chalets and is just 10 minutes from the Vodafone Ski Resort. Slightly below the mountain village, the Varanda dos Carqueijais hotel sits overlooking Cova da Beira. Guests are invited to discover this group of hotel resorts, which have been built to meet standards of excellence to match the altitudes of the highest mountain in Portugal. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is 300 km away and Portela Airport is some 320 km from the accommodation.

Guests have a choice of 79 rooms and 3 suites. Staffed 24 hours a day, the reception desk makes check-in and check-out easy.
