Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is a 19th-century spa town located halfway between Megève and Chamonix. Known as the cradle of ski tourism in France, it makes an attractive and ideal base for exploring the resorts of the Mont Blanc region. The resort has 2 centres, Saint-Gervais village (850 m) and Le Bettex/Mont d’Arbois ski resort (1400 m) linked by gondola (10 min) or road (2 km from the village centre) and offering great views over the Mont-Blanc mountain range.
